as part of kel's weekend crashcourse in anime, i watched the first disc of lain with her tonight. as it stands, the only anime thing i've seen and liked is flcl, and lain struck me as a sorta flcl for girls, almost.

it's taken four episodes for the neurotic girl outsider to show a pulse, and there's really no need to ever show ominous powerlines again, but i'm interested enough to watch a few more.
