#43 So, we shot some stuff yesterday. It was a long shoot with a lot talent and stuff, and it ran, oh, 12 or 13 hours all in all. We shot some of the stuff on film, which was a first, and was really fantastic.
And today I just feel beaten up. I got up early, and got in the office early and all that stuff, but i just feel pummled. And my voice is nearly shot. That's cigarettes and talking to 40 actors all day long, i guess.
I'm trying to figure out how someone does this, like, for a living. Steve-the-DP does 6, 7 day shoots here and there, sometimes a few weeks worth of shooting. And then there's, you know, the Hollywood thing, the 80, 90 shoot day type productions. How the fuck do you do THAT?
Maybe that's why movies are so bad mostly. Everybody feels like they've had their asses kicked from day two on, and just phones it in. Poor McG gives 150% that first day, and is just a zombie until opening weekend.
My plan to stop working out, keep smoking, and eat a lot of donuts just hasn't paid off the way I was hoping.
