So, I took all the numbers from icv2's top 300 comics for March and I made a chart. That chart, right over there on the left. See it? That's comics. If you click on that chart, you can see it bigger. See? Bigger comics.

Folks seem to be excited that the top books are selling as well as they are. Comics, they say, are back! Well, one blogger said it, anyway.

But, see, I made this chart because I couldn't get my head around a long list of numbers. And I still can't, not really, but look at that slope. That's the skijump of fucked, right there. You lose 50% between books 1 and 15. That's right, book 15 sold half as much as book 1, out of 300. And then, you drop down to half of that by book 50.

So, yeah, no, this looks bad. I don't know much about numbers and stuff, but skijumps are bad.

I made a chart that looked like a donut, too, but it didn't help much so I didn't post it.
