Odds and ends:

• I'm in Cupertino, doing a ResFest event that's being put on for Apple project managers and such. So things got a little hectic.

• Apparently the moon smells like gunpowder.

• Yes indeed, that's Kelly Sue in McCubbin's mock-up for a new Dakota North book. No, I'm not writing it. No, Warren Ellis isn't writing it either.

• I'm waiting on getting some logos together before sending out the first CASANOVA letter. Sorry!

• In London, a Kobe Beef hamburger will cost you 300 bucks. At In-n-Out, that shit's like a buck-forty nine.

• Finshed the assembly edit on MK12's HISTORY OF AMERICA on Tuesday night. It is a very fat, very sloppy 30 minutes long. Eesh!

• Seth Fisher has passed away-- and amongst real and actual sadness that's brought to his friends and family, to the rest of us no more Seth Fisher means no more Seth Fisher comics, and the world is a duller, dumber place for it.

• The Image Comics offices seem rife for a WKRP-esque sitcom. The Ericks Larsen and Stephenson rotate one another in a Mr. Carlson/Gary Sandy binary star orbit of managerial bravado and plain old fashioned good sense.

• People on the internet are fucking bananas.

• Comics people, who tend to be bananas to begin with, achieve Double Bananas status in the time it takes to type the words "Sexy Chix."

• Let's put everything else aside for a second-- the real moronic tragedy of that book is that they didn't put Joyce Carol Oates' name on the front cover.

• I thought All Star Superman #1 was ridiculously over-praised. I think All Star Superman #2 hasn't been praised enough.

• We Tivo'd the James Frey execution on Oprah Why didn't anyone tell me he talked like Truman Capote playing butch?

• This hotel sucks.
