I know, after hearing that CASANOVA #1 (coming June ’06! Orderable at your Local Comic Store with the code APR06 1763 now-ish!) would have the cover of PREVIEWS-- see that over there?-- the real world landed square on my back like a ton of bricks. Announced today at WizardWorld LA, I’ll be writing a new PUNISHER WAR JOURNAL book for Marvel, spinning out of their big CIVIL WAR event this summer. The astonishingly great Ariel Olivetti brings it, art wise. Over on your left is the cover for the first book.

More on that to come. But for now, o’ blog of mine, I’ve been having a blast, Ariel’s art is completely great, and nobody’s more surprised than me that this is my gig. Best case the book reads as being as much fun as it is to write, and worst case I join the long honor roll of guys What Fucked Up The Punisher For A While.

But this I promise: no gigantic ponytail.
